Yamaha MODX+ Synthesizer

Yamaha Official Source
Quick Summary
Yamaha MODX+ expands the MODX synthesizer concept with more sounds, control and performance features for stage and studio use.
Motion Control synthesis in three sizes
The MODX+ is Yamaha’s compact take on the flagship MONTAGE sound engine. Its Motion Control Synthesis Engine pairs AWM2 sample-based synthesis (8 elements per part) with FM-X frequency modulation (8 operators, 88 algorithms), giving 128 notes of polyphony for AWM2 and 128 for FM-X. The preset wave memory is 5.67 GB with 1.75 GB of user wave memory, and the instrument ships with 2,227 Performances ready to play.
Performance controls include a 7-inch colour touch display, 10,239 preset arpeggio types (plus 256 user arpeggios) and a 16-track sequencer with 128 songs and 128 patterns. More than 256 preset Live Sets — and 2,048 user Live Sets — keep setlists organised, and Cubase AI is included for recording.

For Style For Musician visitors
Style For Musician does not currently sell an expansion pack for the MODX+ — SFM packs are made for Yamaha arranger workstations such as Genos2 and the PSR-SX series. MODX+ owners can still follow the SFM News page for new Yamaha releases and synthesizer guides.
