Flagship sound, built for the stage
Genos2 pairs Yamaha’s AWM Stereo Sampling and AEM tone generation with an FM sound engine, giving players 1,991 Voices plus 75 Drum/SFX Kits and 480 XG Voices. Polyphony reaches 384 notes in total — 128 Preset AWM, 128 Expansion AWM and 128 FM — so dense arrangements and layered performances stay clean even on the busiest passages.
The 76-key FSX organ-style keyboard supports Initial Touch and Aftertouch, and the panel adds nine Live Control sliders, a cross fader and six assignable knobs for hands-on mixing. A 9-inch colour touch display (800 × 480) is joined by a second VA sub-display, and the Chord Looper records chord progressions on the fly for solo performers.
Styles, harmony and expansion
Genos2 ships with 800 Styles — 720 Pro, 69 Session and 11 Free Play — alongside Vocal Harmony 2 with 54 presets and a 20-preset Synth Vocoder. Around 15 GB of internal memory and about 3 GB of Expansion Voice memory leave room for additional Voices, Styles and packs. The microphone input includes +48 V phantom power, and USB audio, Bluetooth audio, MIDI in/out (A/B) and HDMI output (up to 1,280 × 720p) cover live, studio and streaming setups.

Genos2 owners can extend the instrument with new Voices and Styles from Style For Musician. The V19 SFM Expansion Pack for Yamaha Genos / SX Series is made for Genos2 (as well as Genos, PSR-SX920, PSR-SX900, PSR-SX720, Tyros5 and PSR-S975), adding new Voices and Styles to the instrument.
