Yamaha CK76: A 76-Key Stage Keyboard That Fills the Gap Between Portability and Full Piano Power

October 26, 2026 · Style For Musician · Yamaha News

Yamaha has announced the CK76, a new 76-key stage keyboard that joins the existing CK61 and CK88 to complete the company’s CK Series lineup. Announced on October 21, 2026, the CK76 is aimed squarely at working musicians who want more range than a 61-key instrument without the size and weight of a full 88-key piano.

The CK76 draws its sound engine from two of Yamaha’s most respected stage lines: the CP Stage Piano and the YC Stage Keyboard. That heritage shows in the voice list, which covers acoustic and electric pianos, strings, brass, organs and modern synthesizer sounds in a single streamlined instrument. The 76-key semi-weighted action is designed for players who move between piano parts and synth leads in the same set, and two split points plus expanded layering options make it easy to run layered sounds and multi-zone setups across the wider keyboard.

Hands-on control is central to the CK design. A one-to-one control interface gives the CK76 dedicated Organ, Synth and Effects sections, so players can shape sounds in real time without digging through menus. An analog-to-digital (A/D) input lets musicians connect a microphone or an external instrument, apply the onboard effects, and record directly to a computer — a handy addition for livestreamers and small-stage performers.

Portability is the other half of the story. The CK76 has built-in speakers and battery-powered operation, so it can turn a rehearsal room, a street corner or an outdoor stage into a performance space with no extra gear. Yamaha describes the combination as turning virtually any location into a stage or studio, and the lightweight, compact build backs that up.

The launch also brings new software for the whole CK family. CK OS 2.0 adds three electronic piano sounds, 16 new Live Sets, and more advanced options for splitting and layering sounds across the keyboard, so existing CK61 and CK88 owners get something out of the announcement too.

Pricing is set at $1,249.99, and the CK76 is available now through authorized Yamaha dealers. With the CK61 for maximum portability, the CK88 for the full piano experience, and now the CK76 in the middle, Yamaha’s stage keyboard range finally has an option for every kind of gigging player.
